The WFHA accepts new members only during the fall season, which runs from Labor Day until the week before Thanksgiving. Membership is open to men and women of all ages and skill levels and, for the most part, is divided into two categories: Club and Association.
Club
Club is a more casual level of play. This is for players looking to have a good time playing field hockey one day a week. Players are welcome at all skill levels. Some players have played in college, some only in high school. Others are getting back into the game after a number of years.Association
Association is a more skilled and committed level of play. The association team represents WFHA at Southeast Field Hockey Association ("SEFHA") league games and tournaments. Players are provided multiple playing opportunities during the weekend. These players tend to have more extensive field hockey experience, most having played in college.
